Crystal Quilters Calendar - June 2017

Friday, June 2 - 11:30 am - Lunch will be at Frankie's Pizza, 117 Roosevelt Ave, Enumclaw.
1:00 pm -  General Guild Meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.  Please remember to bring your copy of the proposed Bylaws that were handed out at the May meeting, as we will be discussing and voting on them.

Friday, June 16 - 1:00 pm - Crystal Quilters Workshop @ the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.

Friday, July 7 - Annual Guild Picnic and Challenge Quilt Reveal.  We will be at Clarine's this year, or the Buckley Fire Station in event of weather.

August - no meeting!  
There will be more information coming later on a possible workshop and/or a field trip in August.

May Workshop Update

Friday, May 19 - 1:00 - 4 pm - Crystal Quilters Workshop @ the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.   Pat G. will be teaching the "Nine Step Quilt".

Supply List
For one quilt top 49" x 60", you will need to bring:
Sewing machine 
Cutting mat & rotary cutter
Ruler (at least 6 inch by 12 inch)
Thread to match
Pins, Scissors, etc.
Light (optional)
Fabrics - 9 Fat Quarters each 18" x 22" ironed.  Use a variety of prints, batiks, solids, etc.  It's a good way to use up orphan fat quarters.  
You will need extra fabric if you want to add borders.

Please have your 9 Fat Quarters pre-cut before class on the 19th:

Cut each fat quarter into (3)three  6" X 21" strips.

 After cutting your 9 fat quarters into the strips, you will have 27 - 6" X 21" Strips total.

May 19 - 21 - Plateau Quilters – Comforts Quilts at the VFW Hall, 44426 244th Ave SE,  Enumclaw.

May 19 - 20 - "Quilts In The City" Yakima Valley Quilters Guild quilt show.  Yakima Convention Center, 10 N 8th Street, Yakima, WA. Hours: Friday 10 - 7, Saturday 10 - 5.  $8 admission for both days, free parking.  There will be as many as 600 quilts to view!

May 20 & 21 - 2:30 pm. - Cascade Foothills Chorale 40th Anniversary Spring Concert at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1535 Washington Ave.  Pre-sale tickets ($12) are available until day of the concert.  Children are free (12 yrs and under), Adult price is $15 at the door (13 yrs and older).

May 27 & 28 - "Remember The Homestead" Chewelah Arts Guild annual quilt show.  Jenkins High School, 702 East Lincoln, Chewelah.  Hours: Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 11:00 - 3:00.
