Thank you to everyone who has made a Comfort Quilt this past month.

Patricia has completed 12 tops/ orphan quilts and 14 scrap quilts that were donated from the family of Diane Wagner.

We’ve had 48- quilts finished from guild members so far this year. Currently, we are 226 Comfort Quilts away from meeting our goal of 300 Comfort Quilts this year!

Patricia has batting and also a room designated if you’re in need of fabric to make and donate a comfort quilts. We are in desperate need of Comfort Quilts for men and teenage boys.

STEP BY STEP Organization is in need of baby girl quilts, receiving blankets and burp rags. If you
took some cut out burp rags from Marie in February, please finish and return to her at the April
meeting. Thank you to Laura Southwick and Sherry Asher for your donations of bibs!

October 2023 Comfort Quilts Committee Report

September and October were busy months for Comfort Quilts activity!
In September, we gave 7 quilts to the USO for raffles/auctions. In October, we gave several quilts to Plateau Outreach Ministry and several to the Wellness Foundation, both in Enumclaw. Yeah!

In September, we gave 6 quilts to St. Elizabeth Hospital. These quilts will be enjoyed by patients of various ages and needs. I try to give St. Elizabeth 4 to 6 quilts every 6 weeks, so if you want your
donation quilt to go to St. Elizabeth, just let us know.

Lastly, we gave several items to Step by Step Organization (they help new mothers and babies). I delivered items in September and October. Totally, we donated 11 baby blankets, 10 receiving blankets, 52 burp cloths, and 15 or more stuffed bunnies. They contacted me and stated they needed more burp cloths, especially girls burp cloths. I passed out some cut out burp cloths to members at the October meeting, in order to give more girl burp cloths to them. Ladies, thank you for sewing those for the babies.

We have been receiving numerous comfort quilts from members. Thanks to all of you who sew and donate to comfort quilts. We could not donate without your help.

Please, enjoy the Fall weather and happy sewing.
