Crystal Quilters Calendar - June 2022

Friday, June 3 - 11:30 am - Lunch will be at Oshio Teriyaki, 730 Griffin Ave. Enumclaw.

1:00 pm General Guild meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.

Friday, June 17- 1:00 pm - Guild Workshop meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.
For this workshop we will make a self-binding Baby Receiving Blanket. You will need two coordinating baby flannel pieces (40” backing and 30” front) for one blanket. I usually purchase 2 yards each of two coordinating fabrics to make two blankets. I purchased my flannel on sale at Joann’s Fabric.

At the June meeting I’ll give you all the information on how to prepare your flannel for our workshop. These blankets are perfect for St. Joseph’s Hospital as comfort quilts or to sell in the Country Store.

*Please come a little early to set up your sewing machine. Bring a 6 ½” square and 6 ½” x 24” quilt rulers, marking pencil, sewing supplies, neutral cotton thread, several pre-wound bobbins, wonder clips, pins, small iron/pressing mat, and a ¼” foot.

Crystal Quilters Calendar - May 2022

Friday, May 6 - 11:30 am - Lunch will be at The Lee, 1110 Griffin Ave., Enumclaw.
1:00 pm - General Guild meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.

Friday, May 20 - 1:00 pm - Guild Workshop meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.  The workshop will be on The Not So Pretty Quilt, led by Susanne Wick. This is a fun quilt top to make!
Susanne says:

For this workshop we will make a quilt top called, The Not So Pretty Quilt, using fat quarters. The quilt top takes 12 fat quarters for a lap size quilt top approximately 42” x 54” without borders.

You may choose various degrees of colors/prints, or just pick fat quarters you have in your stash. At the May meeting I’ll give you all the information on how to trim your fat quarters before our workshop. (I’m using fat quarters that I’ve had in my stash for around 15 years.)

*Bring your sewing machine, cutting mat (18x24), 6 x24” quilt ruler, rotary cutter with a new sharp blade, neutral thread, several pre-wound bobbins, and a ¼” foot.
