March 15 - 17 - Quilters Anonymous 42nd Annual Quilt Show: Galaxy of Quilts. The show will be at the 

Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe. Hours are Friday/Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 10-4. Entry is $10, good for all three days. Free Parking.

Friday, Aug. 2 - 8:45 am - Past Presidents Outing - Meet at Mr. Bill's parking lot, on the east side of the building (closest to Enumclaw), at 8:45 am for a 9:00 am departure time.  We will be car pooling.
For those closer to Puyallup, we will meet at Fred Meyer’s 1100 N Meridian and River Rd. Park on the side closest to N. Meridian away from the store.  The Enumclaw bunch should arrive there about 9:30 am. We will try to leave Fred Meyer's by 9:35 am.

Please bring your 4 Leaf Clover Block Lotto blocks to the meeting.  Judy will be die cutting pieces for the April umbrella Block Lotto block before and after the meeting, so if you'd like some cut for you, please bring 3 color-coordinated six inch by twelve inch rectangles of fabrics. Judy will also bring patterns for you to trace to cut your own if you prefer to needle turn. This’ll make three blocks, you’ll also need three 13 inch square background blocks for the block.

Disappearing 9-Patch Workshop Supply List

Sewing machine & your regular sewing kit
Cutting mat, 6" x 12" ruler & rotary cutter
Fabrics you will need for one test block:
9 - 3.5-inch squares
4 squares for background, all the same solid or nearly – solid fabric
4 squares for the corners (all the same print or scrappy)
1 square for the center (contrasting from the background and the corners)

If you want to make more Disappearing 9 Patches than just the test block, you will need to bring more fabrics in any colors/combos you'd like.
2.5-inch cut squares make a 5.5 inch disappearing 9 Patch
3.5-inch cut squares will yield an 8.5-inch block
4.5-inch cut squares = 11.5-inch block
5-inch squares (charms) = 13-inch block.
I suggest starting with no larger than 4.5-inch squares for this workshop.
