Crystal Quilters' Calendar

Thursday, June 5 - 1:30 pm.  Quilt Show Committee meeting @ Mountain Meadows Mobile Home Park Clubhouse.

Friday, June 6 - 11:30 am.  Lunch will be at The Lee restaurant, 1110 Griffin Ave,. Enumclaw.
1:00 pm General Guild Meeting in the Meeting Room at the Enumclaw Library, 1700 1st St.


Friday, June 13 - 12 noon to 4 pm.  Erika Plank will do a class on the Cathedral Window pillow, done by machine, at Heavenly Quilts and Fabrics, 135 Jefferson Ave.,  Buckley. (see her Unseen Hands website here)  There will be a sign-up sheet at the meeting.  The cost of the class is $35 plus purchase of her template for $15.

Supply List for the Cathedral Window Class: 

1 1/2 yards muslin or "background" fabric of your choice
12 - 2 3/4 inch squares of fabric of your choice (for the center of each window section)
9 inch Seam pressing template from Unseen Hands (will be available for purchase at the workshop)
Iron
Pressing surface for your area
Large cutting mat
Rotary cutter & ruler
Sewing machine
Thread to match the background fabric of your choice
Pins
Seam ripper
14 inch pillow form

Wed. June 18 - Sunday June 22 - Western Washington Shop Hop.

Friday, June 27 - 1 pm to 4 pm. Guild Workshop at Heavenly Quilts and Fabrics, 135 Jefferson Ave., Buckley.  Bring your UFO's for help and assistance in finishing to be ready for the Quilt Show in October.


Friday, July 11 - 12 noon - 4 pm.  General Guild Meeting, Potluck Lunch and Quilt Challenge Reveal party at Clarine's house.  (find her address in the guild newsletter) Please bring your own chair.  Lunch will be served promptly at noon!

Friday, August 15 - 1 pm - 4 pm - Guild Workshop at Heavenly Quilts, 135 Jefferson Ave., Buckley.  We will be making more aprons to be worn at the Quilt Show.  Please bring your sewing machines and/or sergers, plus your usual sewing kit.

* Please save empty toilet paper tubes and bring them to the meeting.  There will be a receptacle for them.  We will be using them for a Make and Take project at the Quilt Show.

* Please wear your name tag at the meeting - we want to know who you are!

* We still need charity quilts, with a more urgent need of the small quilts for the St. Francis hospital nursery.

For Hospitals:        Preemies or Stillborn 18” X 24”
                              Nursery Sizes: Crib size  40” X 60” Approximately

Lap Quilts              40” - 42” X  50” - 60”

Wheelchair size      40” –  42” X 50” (not longer as they catch in wheels)

Ashley House        for children from infant to 18 years. All sizes from crib to twin

N.W. Kidney Center    40” - 42”  X  60” - size is approximate

For victims of Domestic Violence & the homeless – all sizes
