1:00 pm - General Guild meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.  

Also, to protect our membership from COVID, please bring your proof of vaccination/booster card and wear a mask at our meeting.

January 2022 Update!

 Friday, January 21 - 1:00 pm -  Crystal Quilters Workshop.  

From Susanne:  Since the Buckley Fire Station is closed for January, we will be meeting at the church hall of Cedar Community Church on 192 Cedar Street, Buckley. 

At this workshop we will continue sewing together the 4” plaid homespun/flannel squares for comfort quilt tops.

If you plan to attend the Workshop, please bring your sewing machine, prepared bobbins in neutral colored thread, scissors, and a power strip if possible.  If you have any additional 4” plaid homespun/flannel squares at your home, please bring them.

Bonnie will bring an iron and a table-top ironing board.

Clarine will be at the church hall at 12:30pm to sell cookbooks and Challenge Quilt fees. Please let Susanne (Newsletter) know, if you'll be buying the cookbooks, how many you will want so that Clarine can bring the right number of books. 

**Originally we were going to hold a Quilt Show Organizational meeting at 12:30pm on Friday, January 21st, however, the meeting has been postponed until February.  More information will be discussed at our February Guild meeting on February 4th.

Happy New Year!

Friday, January 7 - 11:30 am - Lunch will be at Charlie’s Café, 1335 Roosevelt Ave, Enumclaw. Proof of vaccination is required to eat there.

No further meetings this month, as the Buckley Fire Station is closed due to Covid concerns.

1:00 pm - General Guild meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.  We ask that you please wear a mask. 

Please note:

12:30 - 1 pm - Before the meeting begins, the Treasurers will be available to conduct activities such as purchasing cookbooks, sign ups for the Challenge Quilt Project or paying membership dues.

1:00 - 3:00 pm - General Guild meeting.

Friday, January 27th - 12:30 pm Prior to our Workshop, there will be an organization meeting for our 2022 QUILT SHOW. Please plan to attend if you would like to be part of the Quilt Show Committee. We need everyone to support our Quilt Show.

Crystal Quilters Calendar - December 2021

 Friday, December 3 -  11:30 am - Guild meeting at the Buckley Fire Station, 611 S. Division St., Buckley.  We ask that you please wear a mask.

This is our December Holiday Lunch and meeting. 

Lunch will be served at 11:30 am, a catered lunch courtesy of our Guild.  If you missed the sign up date for the lunch, you may bring your own sack lunch.

Our business meeting will be held after lunch.  We will have the election of our new officers for 2022.  When the business portion of the meeting is done, there will be fun and games. 

 Please bring 2 fat quarters in a brown lunch bag for a fun gift swap.  Also, bring 2 fat quarters to play Bingo with, as well as 25 pennies, buttons or other markers.  And, of course, bring your quilts for Show and Tell!

There will be no Workshop in December.

The Quilt Guild cookbooks will be available to purchase starting at 12:30 pm, so bring your money if you want to purchase some.  Hint: these make great Christmas gifts for family and friends!

UPDATE!  November 19th  Workshop Information

“Fall Plaid Party”

We are making a little change to Friday's plaid party workshop.  Since it is very difficult to find woven plaid material, gingham checks will also be acceptable.  Try to bring 100 4"  squares.

 

We have some plaid material from the Crystal Quilters stash.  I am cutting it up, and will bring it all to share.  Please come to participate with your sewing machine and accessories.  Lets see how far we can get!  

For our workshop in November, you will need 500 - 4” squares cut out of at least 12 different homespun plaid fabrics. The more variety, the better, but not more than 25 fabrics.

All plaid fabrics must be homespun plaids, meaning that they are a woven plaid the same on the front as the

back, not a printed fabric or flannel. 

At the end of the “Party” you will have a scrappy quilt top! Bring your

sewing machine, neutral thread, several pre-wound bobbins, and a ¼” foot.

November 12 - 14 -" 2020 Hindsight" Block Party Quilters quilt show.  Hours are Fri. and Sat. 10 - 5, Sunday 10-4.  Admission is $8. (all veterans FREE)  Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd. S, Issaquah. Featured quilter is Eileen Zube.

It's Quilt Show Time!

 

Please join us, as we love to share our quilts!  We will have 

Nancy Lee Chong as our guest Quilt Artist.

There will also be vendors, demonstrations,

 a Make & Take and our Country Store.

If you bring a non-perishable food donation for the Food Bank, 

you will receive a free fat quarter! (up to 2)

As per COVID-19 restrictions, masks must be worn while inside the building.

Bring your Show and Tell for us all to enjoy!  Judy E. is receiving quilt applications for the Quilt Show. Please fill yours out and bring them to the meeting if you have not yet turned them in.  Also, if you need a photo of your quilt, Judy will have a camera to take the photos.  If you have not yet bought your 10 raffle tickets, Clarine will have them at the September meeting. Please bring a check or cash ($10) to pay for your raffle quilt tickets.
